Job Description:
GENERAL FUNCTION: This position has
responsibility for strategic development and execution of key
initiatives that drive optimization of business performance,
customer experience and operating aspects of Central Operations.
Analyze, recommend, and implement initiatives to drive improved
business performance and customer experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Identify, design, implement, and/or monitor Lean (process
improvement) activities to achieve break-through goals, with focus
on:
o Revenue enhancement.
o Loss Mitigation.
o Productivity Enhancement.
o Quality Improvement.
o Enhanced Customer Experience.
o Problem Prevention and Resolution.
* In assigned area, create, lead and/or monitor in the
following:
o Obtains buy-in from executive project sponsors of the mission,
vision, strategy, and approach.
o Develops strategic partnerships with the business unites to build
a solid knowledge of the business line, including the business
plan, products, processes, expenses, and current/future projects
initiatives and revenue streams.
o Develop detailed project plans, work assignments, target dates,
and other aspects of assigned projects.
o Ensures that all resources assigned to the project have all the
tools and information needed to perform their project
tasks.
o Evaluates project risk, changes and issues, including development
of contingency plans and solution and process
alternatives.
o Provide analysis to process improvement activities by measuring
productivity results that translate to financial
benefits.
o Function as liaison between the line of business and enabling
functional areas throughout the project life cycle.
o Report regularly on progress against established project
plans.
o Ensure that projects are executed in a manner that maximizes
integrity and effectiveness.
o Performs project audits when required.
o Monitors issues between projects and resolves
conflict.
o Plays lead role in managing and coordinating major systems and
business projects and provides tactical and strategic
input.
* Provide technical expertise and drive process improvement
initiatives to achieve measurable productivity results that
translate to financial benefits.
* Provide expertise and execute projects for customer experience
initiatives, problem prevention/resolution initiatives and
strategic initiatives to make measureable improvements to the
customer experience index.
* Influences leaders and peers across organizational lines to take
action on strategic initiatives or process changes.
* Lead and/or monitor design and execution of key process
improvement, problem prevention and customer experience initiatives
to achieve Performance Plan objectives.
* Maintains a moderate understanding/knowledge of Central
Operations and all supported businesses.
* Establish the climate that encourages an open two-way channel of
communication whereby team members exchange ideas / suggestions and
share information
* Support innovation across Central Operations.
* Support Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification across the
Bancorp.
* Conduct industry/outside best practice research, make
recommendations based on finding to Strategic Optimization
leadership and design and execute on related improvements to
processes.
* Design, implement, analyze, monitor or support special projects
that integrate with key business objectives
* Will be responsible for coaching peers and assisting with the
development of associates on the team.
