  • Miami Valley Hospital has 1 CVOR RN position available.
  • Must have Open Heart experience!
  • The clinical nurse (CN) functions in a multi-faceted role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of Nursing.
  • The CN is responsible for maintaining high standards for a caseload of patients as described by the scope of care for the area of practice.
  • The CN demonstrates appropriate actions based on sound scientific research and evidence-based principles.
  • Coordinates/directs care delivered by the interdisciplinary team.
  • Accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures.
  • Provides physical, emotional and spiritual support that directly/indirectly impacts the patient outcomes and care provided to patients/families/significant others.
  • Responsible for knowledge and implementation of the mission, vision and values of Atrium Medical Center.
    • Job Requirements
    • Education: BSN required or AND
    • Licensure: Valid Ohio Registered Nurse License
    • Certification: Current CPR required. ACLS certification required.
    • Experience: One year of OR experience
    • Skills/Other: Must be willing to work with acutely ill patients, including emergency situations.
    • Works independently as well as functioning as a team member and charge nurse as assigned.
    • Capable of adapting to changing environment.
    • Practice is consistent with Ohio Board of Nursing standards and regulations
      • Schedule Information
      • Call Requirement: 1 night weekday, and 1 weekend per month
        • Unit Specific Information
        • UNIT DESCRIPTION
        • - 28 OR's when there isn't a heart case to scrub, will work general surgeries
        • - Mostly general and ortho cases. Also, urology, GYN and spine (no neuro)
        • - 1-2 cases per day for CV
          • Additional Details
          • I9 required per contract.
          • Government Issued Photo ID is required.
          • Everify required per contract.
          • Required if the candidate has a different name on their documents. Must provide legal documentation of the name change, such as a marriage license, divorce decree, etc.
          • Required if the candidate will be using a Compact Nursing license that differs from the state in which they will be working.
