Location: Lafayette, IN Southwire Job DescriptionThe Process Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and improving the manufacturing processes within the Insulation department. This role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient and effective operations of the production processes, implementing continuous improvements initiatives, and ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities --- Identify opportunities for manufacturing process improvements and develop action plans to optimize efficiency, reduce scrap, and material usage. --- Provide problem solving support for machine and process-related issues, implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime and improve efficiency. --- Develop and update work instructions, process standards, process guides, training guides, and tolling requirements to ensure standardized operations and minimize errors. --- Oversee tooling and die management. --- Utilize data analysis and statistical tools to leverage process data for identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities. --- Assist in change management activities related to process changes, equipment upgrades, and new technology implementations. --- Collaborate with product development team to support the design and implementation of new products. --- Mentor and develop tool and die technician position. --- Work closely with VSM, Supervisors, and Team Leads in DHP 2.0 process.Qualifications --- Minimum 2-5 years experience, 5+ years desired --- Bachelors Degree in related Engineering discipline desired --- Must have strong analytical and project management skills as well as exceptional verbal and written communication skills --- Must be creative and able to work independently with only general supervisionCompetenciesNimble LearningCustomer FocusPlans and AlignsCollaboratesBalances StakeholdersAction OrientedBenefits We Offer:
