according to World Class Manufacturing principles. Job PurposeThis
position exists to provide direction and assistance to all
locations in the US with installation standards, manufacturers
specifications, warranty procedures, quality control issues, and
training management. Responsibilities & Duties
- Develop and administer standards and training of Engineering,
Sales and Service to staff, distributors, dealers and customers on
new and existing products.
- Establish protocol/process flow for new product roll out in the
various markets and maintain close loop communication on all new
product introductions.
- Communicate to OEM suppliers on product design and application
performance.
- Administer product design/application change requests and
custom installation planning.
- Establish Installation Standards for the install of new
products, for OEM, Dealer and FST (Field Service Technicians).
- Assist in sales presentations and training for dealers,
distributors, fleet customers, and OEM customers.
- Manage the refinement of kit and installation design to
constantly improve efficiency
- Liaison with Branch Coordinators, Account Mangers, Departmental
Managers on technical and service issues, and the development of
profitable service contracts.
- Provide technical support to US Technical and Service
teams.
- Maintenance of fully documented effective installation
practices and methods in the form of turnkey installation packages
for FST.
- Measure the training and development of all new hired
technicians under a Groeneveld-BEKA North American developed
training program, in conjunction with the Engineering and Service
teams in Canada.
- The inspection of installations in the field completed by the
FST team and others. Inspections to ensure that installations and
service work are compliant with Groeneveld-BEKA's Installation
Standards and expectations.
- Develop closed loop strategies to implement "Irreversible
Corrective Actions" (ICA's) to eliminate repeat service and
warranty claims.
- Assist Branches by providing direction for invoicing on service
calls and warranty under defined warranty guidelines.
- Provide regular reporting to Branch Managers, Service Managers
and Senior Management on product and installation quality
performance.
- Supervise, evaluate, and develop technical support staff.
- Complete other duties as assigned. Skills and Job
Qualifications
- Mechanical Engineering - Technical Degree or equivalent
combination of education and experience
- 7-10 years progressive experience in Heavy Truck and/or
Off-road Equipment
- 3+ years management experience
- Leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills
- Knowledge of different learning styles and methods for adult
education
