Job Summary:
Belden is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to drive growth and
offer strong support for broadband, cable, fiber optics & wireless
solutions into a Tier 1 MSO customer in the Southeast United
States.
Responsibilities:
* Grow revenue within an assigned territory within a Tier 1 MSO by
providing exemplary support and a consultative, solutions-focused
sales approach.
* Drive revenue growth in important strategic categories including
optical and wireless solutions, while maintaining core product
market share.
* Maintain effective long-term customer relationships through
timely, professional, courteous, and accurate response.
* Provide/manage the execution of technical training and support to
customers as needed, utilizing a cross functional team of account
based and product-based applications engineers and PLMs.
* Serve as a representative at trade activities within assigned
territory, including trade shows, conferences, meetings, etc.
* Manage a robust sales funnel and provide timely forecasting for
the regions in question, working hand in hand with sales leadership
and product line management.
* Provide sales leadership with timely information pertaining to
product quality issues, training, customer concerns and competitive
information, budgetary variances, new prospects, and territory
progress against goals.
Required Skills and Experience
Education & Experience - Bachelor's degree in related field (highly
preferred) with 3-5 or more years of field sales experience,
preferably in telecommunications and/or optical product sales.
Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of
degree. Comfort with MSO culture, operational processes and HFC and
FTTX architecture is highly preferred but not required for the
right candidate.
Work Environment - This position will require the Regional Sales
Manager to maintain a remote office. Some overnight travel will be
required but candidate will be able to set their own schedules.
